Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions | Version 3 | Last updated: 6 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to dietetic and nutrition services provided by Live Well Nutrition. They explain the basis on which services are booked and provided, including payment, cancellations, package support, client responsibilities and use of the service. By booking or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, subject to any mandatory statutory rights that apply.
1. Provider
Provider: John Donovan, CORU Registered Dietitian (DI068776), trading as Live Well Nutrition. Address: 19 Ferndale, Carrigaline, Cork, Ireland. Email: john@livewellnutrition.ie. Services are provided online unless otherwise agreed.
2. Eligibility and international availability
Services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. Live Well Nutrition is an Ireland-based online dietetic service available to clients in Ireland and selected international locations. International availability depends on the client's location, professional and regulatory requirements, insurance cover, clinical suitability and whether safe remote care can reasonably be provided.
Clients must provide their country of residence and tell Live Well Nutrition if they will be physically located in another country when receiving care. Live Well Nutrition may decline or postpone care where service provision from or to a particular location is not appropriate or permitted.
3. Nature and scope of service
Live Well Nutrition provides individualised dietetic and nutrition services within the Dietitian's professional scope. No health, weight, body-composition or performance outcome is guaranteed. Dietetic services do not replace emergency or urgent medical care. Medical review, referral or signposting may be recommended where appropriate.
4. Services
Services may include:
· Initial Dietetic Consultation: €120, 60 minutes.
· Existing Client Follow-Up: €85, 45 minutes. This is an existing-client service and is not routinely offered through the public booking route.
· 6-Week Nutrition Support: €325, including a 60-minute Initial Consultation and 45-minute reviews around Weeks 3 and 6, plus weekly check-ins and reasonable between-consultation Nutrium messaging/support.
· 12-Week Nutrition Support: €625, including a 60-minute Initial Consultation and 45-minute reviews around Weeks 3, 6, 9 and 12, plus weekly check-ins and reasonable between-consultation Nutrium messaging/support.
· Ongoing Support: €300 per additional 6-week block for eligible existing package clients, including two 45-minute reviews around Weeks 3 and 6, weekly check-ins and reasonable Nutrium messaging/support.
Current service information and the applicable price will be shown before purchase. New clients ordinarily begin with an Initial Dietetic Consultation or a package containing an Initial Consultation. Ongoing Support is a continuation service for existing package clients and is not an automatically renewing subscription.
5. Booking, prices and payment
Prices are shown in euro unless stated otherwise. Standalone consultations are paid in full at booking. Packages are paid as stated at checkout. A booking is confirmed when the required booking/payment process has been completed and confirmation has been issued.
The 12-Week Nutrition Support package may be offered as two instalments of €312.50. The first instalment is paid at purchase. The second instalment is due 6 weeks after the package Day 1 consultation.
If the second instalment remains unpaid, Live Well Nutrition will issue a reminder and allow a 7-day grace period. If payment remains outstanding after that period, weekly support and future package consultations may be paused until payment is brought up to date. The package is not automatically cancelled, and a payment-related pause does not automatically extend the package timeline.
6. Package start date and duration
For a new 6-Week or 12-Week Nutrition Support package, the Initial Consultation is Day 1 and the package period runs from the date of that consultation, not from the purchase date. Package-style weekly check-ins and messaging support begin on Day 1.
The target endpoint for 6-Week Nutrition Support is 42 days after Day 1. The target endpoint for 12-Week Nutrition Support is 84 days after Day 1. These are target review and support dates rather than harsh expiry dates.
Included consultations are intended to take place around their stated package weeks and should normally be completed within 14 days of the relevant target date. Reasonable scheduling flexibility is allowed. Rescheduling an included consultation does not automatically extend the weekly support period.
Where Live Well Nutrition causes a delay, reasonable arrangements will be made so that the client is not disadvantaged and does not lose an included consultation.
7. Upgrading to a Support Package
A completed Initial Dietetic Consultation or eligible Follow-Up Dietetic Consultation may be credited towards a 6-Week or 12-Week Nutrition Support package where the upgrade is purchased within 14 calendar days after the qualifying consultation took place.
The amount paid for the qualifying consultation is credited against the full package price. Current upgrade balances are:
· Initial Consultation (€120) to 6-Week Nutrition Support (€325): €205.
· Initial Consultation (€120) to 12-Week Nutrition Support (€625): €505.
· Eligible Follow-Up (€85) to 6-Week Nutrition Support (€325): €240.
· Eligible Follow-Up (€85) to 12-Week Nutrition Support (€625): €540.
The qualifying consultation becomes Day 1 of the package, so the package period runs from that consultation date rather than the upgrade-payment date.
A Follow-Up qualifies only where sufficient current assessment has been completed for it to appropriately serve as the package-entry assessment. Where a more comprehensive reassessment is required, Live Well Nutrition may recommend a new Initial Consultation instead.
Where more than 14 calendar days have elapsed since the qualifying consultation, the previous consultation fee is not credited towards the package.
8. Upgrading from 6-Week to 12-Week Support
An active 6-Week Nutrition Support package may be upgraded to 12-Week Nutrition Support for €300. The upgrade must be purchased while the 6-week package is still active.
The original package Day 1 remains unchanged. The Initial Consultation and Week 3 and Week 6 reviews remain part of the overall support episode. The upgrade adds the Week 9 and Week 12 reviews and continued weekly support through the 12-week target endpoint.
9. Ongoing Support after a package
An eligible client completing 6-Week or 12-Week Nutrition Support may continue with Ongoing Support at €300 per 6-week block. The final consultation of the preceding package becomes Day 1 of the new Ongoing Support block. Reviews are then targeted around Weeks 3 and 6 from that date.
Ongoing Support may be renewed in further 6-week blocks where appropriate. It is not automatically renewed and requires a new purchase/agreement for each block.
10. Client information and pre-consultation requirements
Clients may be asked to complete a pre-consultation questionnaire and provide relevant information before care. Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information to the best of their knowledge and for updating Live Well Nutrition about important health, medication or other relevant changes.
The pre-consultation questionnaire should be completed before an Initial Consultation. If it has not been completed, the appointment is not automatically cancelled or postponed. Missing information may instead need to be gathered during the scheduled consultation and will use part of the consultation time. Where essential information cannot be established sufficiently to proceed safely, recommendations may be withheld until the information is clarified.
11. Online consultations
Clients need a suitable device, internet connection and reasonably private environment. Significant technical failures will be handled reasonably, including rearrangement where appropriate.
Initial Consultations are normally delivered using Zoom. Subsequent consultations may be delivered through Nutrium's video functionality once client access has been established. Consultations are not routinely audio- or video-recorded.
12. Recommendations, plans and resources
The standard post-consultation output is personalised recommendations, goals, targets and other appropriate information provided through Nutrium. Relevant resources may be supplied where useful. Meal plans or meal-planning guidance may be provided where clinically appropriate but are not automatically included in every service.
A separate written Live Well Nutrition Action Plan is not a routine entitlement and may be used where a more detailed structured written output is clinically useful.
13. Weekly check-ins and messaging support
6-Week Nutrition Support, 12-Week Nutrition Support and Ongoing Support include one structured weekly check-in between scheduled consultations. On a week containing a scheduled package consultation, that consultation replaces the separate weekly check-in.
Package clients may also use Nutrium messaging for reasonable questions, clarification and updates relating to the agreed plan. Messaging supplements rather than replaces consultations and is not an emergency or continuously monitored service.
Substantial reassessment, a significant new issue or a matter outside the existing care plan may require a consultation, referral, signposting or other appropriate action.
If a client does not respond to a weekly check-in, Live Well Nutrition does not routinely chase the missed check-in. It is not carried forward and does not extend the package.
14. Package pauses, scheduling and disengagement
Packages run continuously from Day 1 and cannot routinely be paused. Live Well Nutrition may agree a pause or extension at its discretion where exceptional circumstances materially prevent participation.
Ordinary holidays, scheduling preferences, missed check-ins or lack of engagement do not automatically pause or extend a package.
If a client disengages, the package timeline continues. Where appropriate, Live Well Nutrition may send one administrative closure message around the end of the package confirming that active support has ended and explaining how future care may be accessed.
15. Appointment cancellation and non-attendance
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance may be rearranged at no additional charge within the normal scheduling rules. Where a refund is appropriate for a standalone consultation, it will be processed accordingly.
Where less than 24 hours' notice is given, or the client does not attend, the consultation is normally treated as used because appointment time and preparatory work have been reserved. Live Well Nutrition may waive this rule in genuine exceptional circumstances.
If Live Well Nutrition needs to cancel or reschedule an included consultation, the client's consultation entitlement is retained and will be rearranged, including beyond the normal 14-day scheduling window where necessary.
16. Cancelling before a package starts
A client who cancels a package before Day 1, and before any package service has commenced, will receive a full refund, subject to any mandatory rights or obligations that apply.
17. Ending a package early after it has started
If a client voluntarily ends a package after Day 1, any refund is calculated by reference to the standalone value of unused included 45-minute consultations, currently €85 each.
The Initial Consultation and package support that has already commenced or been provided are not retrospectively refundable. A consultation treated as used under the late-cancellation/non-attendance rule is not an unused consultation.
A refund cannot exceed the amount actually paid. For a 12-Week Nutrition Support client paying by instalments, payments already made and any relevant outstanding contractual balance will be taken into account before the refund is determined.
Live Well Nutrition may provide a more favourable outcome in exceptional circumstances. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer remedy that applies.
18. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to the service. Live Well Nutrition's dietetic healthcare services are not presented as carrying a general statutory 14-day online cooling-off right. The separate 14-day period described in Section 7 is an LWN commercial upgrade policy, not a statutory cooling-off period.
19. Existing Client Follow-Up
The €85 Existing Client Follow-Up is available to existing clients where a Follow-Up remains clinically appropriate. There is no arbitrary time limit after which an existing client automatically loses eligibility. If sufficient time has passed, circumstances have materially changed or a comprehensive reassessment is required, Live Well Nutrition may recommend a new Initial Dietetic Consultation instead.
20. End of package and future care
At the final package consultation, the appropriate next step may be discharge/finish, a future Existing Client Follow-Up as needed, or a further block of Ongoing Support.
Weekly check-ins and package messaging/support end with the applicable support period unless a further support block has been purchased. Continued technical access to the Nutrium app or previously provided information does not mean that Live Well Nutrition is continuing to monitor or support the client.
21. Client responsibilities
· Attend appointments or provide appropriate notice.
· Provide relevant and accurate information and updates.
· Tell Live Well Nutrition where you are physically located when receiving online care if this differs from your usual country of residence.
· Continue prescribed treatment unless changes are agreed with the relevant prescriber and seek medical care where advised.
· Use recommendations and resources for their intended personal purpose.
· Communicate respectfully and within agreed professional boundaries.
22. Professional judgement and safety
Live Well Nutrition may decline, pause, modify or end a service where it is outside professional scope, clinically inappropriate, unsafe, legally or regulatorily restricted, affected by professional boundaries, or where another professional or service would be more appropriate. Where clinically necessary, professional judgement and safeguarding obligations may require action outside the ordinary administrative or messaging process.
23. Intellectual property
Website content and materials supplied by Live Well Nutrition remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Client plans and resources are for personal use and may not be commercially reproduced, distributed or resold without permission.
24. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful or affects any mandatory consumer rights. Live Well Nutrition will not be responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for loss arising from materially inaccurate or withheld information, failure to follow appropriate medical advice, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory remedies available where a service is not provided in accordance with applicable consumer law.
25. Complaints
Complaints should initially be sent to john@livewellnutrition.ie. Nothing in these Terms prevents a client from using any consumer, professional or regulatory complaint route available to them.
26. Privacy and data protection
Personal data, including health information where relevant, is handled in accordance with the Live Well Nutrition Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. The Privacy Policy explains the purposes and lawful bases for processing, relevant service providers, retention and client rights.
27. Changes and governing law
These Terms may be updated where necessary. The version applicable to a purchase will be the version made available when the relevant contract is entered, subject to changes required by law. These Terms are governed by Irish law, subject to mandatory protections applicable to consumers elsewhere.
